Jeff Gibbons
Jeff Gibbons (b. Detroit, 1982) is an intermedia artist whose work spans a wide range of artistic practices. His art has been exhibited internationally at venues in Mexico, Japan, across Europe, and in the U.S., at esteemed institutions such as the Nasher Sculpture Center, The Power Station, and The Goss-Michael Foundation.
In 2018, Gibbons spoke at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C., on the intersection of art, ice, and climate change, and in 2019, he was nominated for the Louis Comfort Tiffany Award, and a finalist for the Jonathan and Barbara Silver Foundation Sculpture Grant.
A selection of residencies and fellowships include The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA (2023-2024), as well as their Stephen Pace Fellowship in 2025; Cerámica Suro Residency in Guadalajara, Mexico; Achterhaus in Hamburg, Germany; and a long-term fellowship at Sculpture Space in Utica, NY (2024-2025).
His work is a part of several public and private collections, such as the permanent collection of the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Cerámica Suro Collection, the AT&T collection, and several university collections. Gibbons is represented by Conduit Gallery in Dallas, TX.
